Kaitlyn's 1st Photo Shoot

The minute I had Kaitlyn I wanted Erin Fonnesbeck to photograph her. Erin is a great friend of mine and has really developed some amazing photography talents. I appreciate her so much taking the time to come and get some photos that we will cherish forever. This picture really says it all. We just stare at Kaitlyn. In the middle of the night when I should be sleeping I just hold her a little longer and try to take it all in. I know these days will go by so quickly. I want to remember how soft her hair feels, every smell after lotion and bath time, every soft touch, and every funny face made during nap time. If I could only find her pause button...I would push it until I was ready for her to grow a little more. I never knew I would love a little girl as much as I do. We all love Kaitlyn so much and are so grateful that she is here.

The Princess has ARRIVED!!!

We now have the DIVA in the house. A PINK bomb went off in our house. From going to all boy things to all pink has been an adjustment. We love every second of it. Mason and Ian love having the new baby sister. We are seeing a side of the boys that we haven't seen before. We will see how long it will last.

Kaitlyn is 1 day old!!!

Kasi and Kaitlyn are still in the hospital. Kaitlyn was in the NICU, intensive care until around 3:00 pm today. Dr. Thompson wanted to keep her another day to make sure things were going well. Her blood sugar is where it should be and we expect to go home on Friday. Kasi is doing well and looks like a million bucks as always. Kasi is like a work horse, takes the pain like she has a hang nail. I have tried to sneak her medication while she wasn't looking, but the nurses know me by now.

Kaitlyn is one healthy baby!!!

Mason and Ian are the best big brothers. They want to hold her and touch her. They are still in shock that we have a new baby sister.

The NEW Miller Family

Kaitlyn decided to wake up and see what the party was all about.

Kaitlyn's Boyfriend decided to come visit her. This is Max Larkin. We are getting pictures really early for their wedding video. Kaitlyn looks like she took all of the milk in the nursery.

Dr. Brad Thompson is the best doctor in the world.

Dad and Kaitlyn taking a little rest after a long day. Oh, I forgot Kasi delivered the baby. The one thing I have been waiting for my entire life..... holding my little girl!!!! Do I have to share with Kaitlyn's mom & her brothers ???

It's a GIRL!!!!

Kaitlyn Kennedy Miller

Kasi delivered our new baby GIRL!!!!!!!
8 lbs 2 oz
20 inches
Born: July 9, 2008 @ 5:54 P.M.

The day started at around 5AM, going to the hospital and Kasi getting induced a few days early. We had a good day, making progress, and then Kasi pushed 3 times and the head was out. As soon as the head was out, panic!!!! the cord was wrapped twice around the baby's neck and what ever Dr. Thompson said as he saw the double cord, got a team of 10 in the room and ready to get that baby out. He cut the cord before the baby's body made it out. It was pretty intense for a while. Dr. Thompson stayed calm while Kasi and I stressed out beyond belief. They rushed the baby over to the team to start working on her and they kept counting and hearing no cry made us very uneasy. Kasi did an incredible job with the delivery. The baby is still in the New born Intensive Care. They are watching over her and making sure things are going well. Dr. Thompson feels like things are going to be just fine. We really don't know what to do with a girl. The boys are so excited to have a new baby sister. Ian's first words were, "I won, I knew it was a girl the whole time." We haven't really got to spend a lot of time with the baby, but we are excited to bring her home to all boy clothes and boy toys. What a great day we had. Please help us with a name for our new baby girl. I will keep you posted on the events of our new addition to the Miller Family.

The baby is coming today!!

Kasi is in the hospital as you are reading this!! We will keep you posted!!!
